In recent years I have had the opportunity to collaborate, create custom designs and participate in events that have evolved from relationships formed within my local community. A pottery shed can be a lonely place and I jump at the chance to connect with other creatives around me to bring something new to life.

My background in hospitality has kickstarted many small projects and I enjoy the process of collaborating to design unique pieces that actualise our collective ideas through clay. I am also grateful to be part of the talented pottery community in the Northern Rivers and welcome any opportunity to build these relationships in the future.

If you would like to work on something together I’d love to hear from you at hello@blanchealexander.com.au.

1000 Clay Cups : Morning mUsings

Earlier this year I was part of a group exhibition curated by The Outliers. I was super excited to have four of my designs featured amongst some incredibly talented Australian and International potters.

BLACKBOARD COFFEE COLLABORATION

In 2021 I partnered with Blackboard Coffee to create a limited release cup. Each piece was carved, inlayed and scraped back to produce a crisp contrasting line wrapping around the cup. Check the pieces out here.

BAYLEAF CAFE, BYRON BAY

After a year of serving up coffees at Bayleaf, the crew and I dreamt up some mugs for their in house filter coffee. Owners Nikki, Dan and Jesse were the first supporters of my pieces and I am beyond happy to keep creating with them. Their delicious house made chai is now served up in a sandy layered mug and a selection of mugs feature in the retail area.

Kinfolk beautifully curates a selection of handmade ceramic wares which celebrate the talent of the local pottery community. Spoon rests are available through their website.
